Temperament tests and notes

3 day notes

3 week plus ENS notes

6 week notes plus Score card

Robust and balanced. Those are the two words that come to mind.  When placed on the scale she bobbed her head but didn't move her body for quite sometime. No sounds. When turned over she was observant, even curious why she ended upside down all of a sudden. Fell asleep after a few sniffs and head bobs when put back in the nest. score   7-8               Collar color -    red       weight  26 oz.

Sugar took to ENS exercises like a pro. On the third day she seemed to even anticipate the next part by making herself available for me to manipulate her. At 13 days all pups had a small illness (See litter notes) Sugar being the first to show symptoms. There was never any fever or diarrhea and she acted normal throughout the course of symptoms.  By the time the three week temp tests came along she was mostly fully recovered.   During the tests she was not upset by the sudden change of environment.  Still and loose for both the turn over and the dangle. Didn't offer to follow me but stayed put and watched intently.   Curious but not willing to investigate. Flinched slightly for dropped object, looked in that direction and seemed to lose interest quickly.  Wandered around the nest on return, found a spot and fell asleep

Score 7-8                                          Double dew claws both rear feet          weight 5.1 lbs

This puppy is going to be an exact replica of her grandmum Bonnie. Coat will be medium long and silky.  Her nose will go through phases of dark to pinkish back to dark again.  Temperament test notes. She followed me closely, out of discomfort of the new environment. Preferred the close contact of the restraint part of the test over left to her own devices to wander. Whiny and vocal about her predicament. Dropped object made her scurry in the other direction. She didn't try to put anything in her mouth, was not willing to push boundaries. She's a neat pup, doesn't spill her food or water. Sugar's coping mechanisms are freeze/flight/fight. In stressful situations she will choose to remain still at first, then she will try to run from the discomfort. Her last go-to resort is to try to fight the discomfort.

Score 7-8  (high 6 or low 7 for social categories 8 for environment categories)
